I love when one die can do double duty! This project started with a gingerbread shape and, with a little creative twist, turned into these adorable mummies — perfect for Halloween. I layered bandage-like strips, added googly eyes for a fun pop, and finished them off with a bold “No Tricks, All Treats” sign.
These little cuties are just the right size for candy, small favors, or even a gift card. You can create them in traditional spooky colors or switch it up with playful brights for a less-scary look.
It’s a great example of how versatile our dies and stamps can be — one shape, endless possibilities! If you try your own version, tag me — I’d love to see your twist on this project.
1. Die-Cut the Base
• Using the gingerbread die cut out your base shape from white or Very Vanilla cardstock. This will become your mummy body.
2. Create the Bandage Effect
• With a black marker or thin tip pen, draw random curved lines across the gingerbread shape to mimic mummy wraps.
• Optionally sponge or blend gray ink lightly along the edges of each “wrap” for dimension.
3. Add the Eye Area
• Color or cut a small oval piece in a bright color (green, orange, or yellow) for behind the eyes.
• Adhere to the head area.
• Glue two googly eyes on top.
4. Make the Sign/Label
• Stamp or print “NO TRICKS ALL TREATS” on black, gray, or green cardstock.
• Trim to a rectangle. Layer on a contrasting piece of cardstock or patterned paper for a framed look.
5. Attach the Sign to the Mummy
• Place the sign across the mummy’s tummy area.
• Use Tear & Tape or strong adhesive so it stays secure.
• For a treat holder version, attach only the edges of the sign so you can tuck in a candy or gift card.
6. Optional Extras
• Add small spiders, bats, or stamped doodles around the sign for a spooky accent.
• Lightly ink edges with black or gray to add shadow and depth.
7. Fill & Gift
• Slip a small candy bar, treat bag, or gift card behind the sign.
• Your mummy treat holder is ready to delight someone special this Halloween!

Tips
• Vary your color palette for different vibes — black/gray for spooky, green/orange for playful.
• Use foam dots behind the eyes or sign for a dimensional look.
• Mass-produce these quickly for classroom treats, party favors, or team goodies.
