I am currently loving the Currently Loving scrapbook kit — but you know me… I never leave a kit exactly as-is.
When I first saw the sample photos, the kit definitely leaned toward flowers, girls, graduation, and birthdays. And while those are beautiful themes, they just are not the photos I have on my phone.
Most of my memories are beachy, salty-air, sun-on-my-face kind of moments.
So I took this same Currently Loving kit and gave it a little MissGingerDots coastal spin, using photos from our Key West trip and our Manatee Paddle adventure instead.
To personalize it even more, I mixed in elements from Beach Time and used my Three Banner Punch to create custom accents that fit my photos and story perfectly.
Here is what I really want to encourage you with:
You are allowed to make your kit your own.
You are allowed to think outside the box.
You are allowed to add extra embellishments.
I pulled out some wooden embellishments from my stash, and I also used one of my favorite design hacks — ribbon with a label maker — which adds such a custom, finished touch to the pages.
That is what I love about kits. They give you the foundation, and then you get to build your story on top of it.

It’s very pretty as is! However I needed to make this work for my life. Here is what I did…
