Father’s Day is bittersweet for me this year. I lost my father in 1982 but was blessed with a stepdad for almost 25 years. He passed away in July last year. But, I am lucky enough to have a wonderful father in law- Kent’s dad! So today I want to share a card that I made for him.
I used my Cricut Air to cut the base of this card- easy peasy. It made the pop up aspect of this card soooo easy. To enhance this design, I used our new paper packet- Jack to embellish this card. The papers were perfect for this design and for my father in law. Kent and his Dad were very involved in Boy Scouts years ago and had many fun camping adventures in their day!
I used the coordinating embellishments for the man and the compass. Everything else was cut using our Jack papers and the Cricut machine. I just love how it turned out and can’t wait until he gets this card. (I know I will get a phone call)
Here is a peek at the front of the card-
I am not sure if this picture really captures the detail but in person it looks fantastic. I used our gold shimmer pen to enhance the fire. It just adds a little sparkle to the design and makes the campfire pop!

And I could not end this post without a photo of my good looking husband and his dad!
