I am so excited to be a guest designer at Atlantic Hearts! My challenge for the week was to design a card around Michelle’s awesome sketch. It is so fun to play with new sketches. Here is the card that I created for this week’s sketch!
The newest, hottest product on the market right now is our Artfully Sent Cricut Cartridge. There are so many different style cards that you can design using it, that it can almost be overwhelming. I decided to take a simple approach to the cartridge today and make a traditional card, cutting out two of my favorite shapes on the cartridge- the bicycle and the banner. Pair those shapes with Seaside Paper and Michelle’s awesome sketch and this card screams fun! T It makes me want to get on my bike and ride to the beach! As I was designing it, I thought it needed a little more of something, but I couldn’t decide what. Then I thought, every bike needs a Yolo Board. And what is a Yolo Board without a Palm Tree? So I whipped out my Artbooking Cricut Cartridge and cut out the surfboard and palm tree. Ahhh Haaaa- that was it. I used my journaling pen, to outline the shapes and to doodle around the edges to make them pop! . Now this card makes me completely happy.
Here is Michelle’s original Sketch.
I encourage you to head over to Atlantic Hearts and start playing along!
Do you think if I keep designing cards with Seaside Paper it will bring summer back? As far as I am concerned- Summer should get a speeding ticket. If you haven’t figured it out, this Florida Girl is a total beach girl! Wishing you a warm, sunny day! Creative Hugs….
